On the threshold of the New Times conference

The conference ‘On the Threshold of the New Times’ makes use of the professional and social attention, which the year of 1918 is evoking this year, to create room for critical thinking on historical events and processes associated with the formation and establishment of Czechoslovakia in the social, cultural, political and economic context of post-war central Europe. We select themes which are ignored or on which a lively and conflicting discussion is led and which open new issues and research options. The overriding goal of the conference is a dialogue among legal, social, political and economic historiography, history of arts, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, and other domains.
